Musicstyling provides perfectly crafted and bespoke music designs/profiles to luxury brands around the world, to deliver an unforgettable sensory experience for the both the brands and their clients. To ensure delivery of this high level service we are looking for additional independent consultants locations around the world – of particular interest are consultants based in Vietnam/Australia/South Korea, although any international location will be considered.

Services to be Provided:

The consultant will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on music related matters to our clients. This will involve:-

  • Liaising with potential and existing clients - this may be in person meetings at the client's location/video calls/telephone calls or by email.
  • Understanding the Musicstyling offering, including player types to enable appropriate recommendations to be made.
  • Being a point of contact in the region for existing clients to ensure the client requires a first class service.
  • Meeting sales targets for the region the consultant is responsible for.
  • Gathering of market information/identifying new opportunities.

Consultant Skills/Experience:

To deliver the service contracted it is expected that the following skills/experience will be a requirement for anyone applying for a consultancy position.

  • First class organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Self-starter.
  • Willing to travel within the region for client meetings as and when required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • First class professional approach and maintaining high standards at all times.
  • Able to demonstrate commercial and financial awareness.
  • Conscientious, honest and reliable.
  • A passion for music with extensive musical knowledge, ideally in a commercial environment.
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures.

Role: Account Manager (Mainland China).

Location: Shanghai, China

The Account Manager is the principal customer facing contact, representing the mutual interests of Musicstyling and the client in order to achieve profitable delivery for both parties. The role has 6 key focuses:

  1. To assist the Greater China General Manager with business development and project execution.
  2. Ensure the timely and successful delivery of the appropriate business solution in line with the client’s needs and objectives.
  3. To be the main point of contact for all clients.
  4. Build and maintain strong long-lasting client relationships to provide new business opportunities.
  5. Being the eyes & ears of the business, including identifying opportunities for further business development/ suggestions for improvements where appropriate. Being aware and feeding back on competitor information/market intelligence or new business leads.
  6. Working collaboratively within the business to ensure a seamless service for all clients

Proposals preparation

  • Fully understand the full range of products, services and pricing structure to meet the client's needs. existing and new business
  • Liaise with the media team for music briefs and previews based on the client’s requirement.
  • Liaise with AV/IT team to provide hardware recommendation, if appropriate.
  • Complete a master proposal brief to include all necessary details.

Attend bidding hosted by clients

  • Complete bidding document fully, and accurately, and where appropriate attend the bidding meeting
  • Follow up on bidding results and stay in touch with clients/potential clients.

Music Licence

  • Fully understand licencing requirements to assist clients in providing them with the correct guidance and support on licencing applications, if required.
  • Obtain quotations, where required, from the local licencing society

Negotiation and Contract

  • Negotiate variations in price, service or product specification with clients as and when required.
  • Assist the Company Accountant in the closing of deals, accurately drawing up the contractual & commercial agreement

Project rollout

  • Liaise with the media team to ensure the correct profile is set up for clients.
  • Obtain full details from clients to draw up an installation schedule in line with their requirements ensuring other stake holders have been involved in the process for testing/installation to ensure delivery as required.
  • Monitor installation process and provide support where required.
  • Provide full details and processes including service FAQ at the point roll out commences to the client.
  • Notify the Accounts and Service team once the project has been completed along with any special instructions for the Service Team to be aware of.


  • Liaise with newly onboarded clients to review the process with them, dealing with any issues if applicable and if appropriate, obtain a testimony.
  • Ensure all clients' needs/problems are addressed and if applicable, resolved internally to ensure delivery of the contracted services to the standards required.

Report & Admin

  • Reporting on a regular basis to the General Manager GC on key opportunities and/or issues.
  • Undertaking administrative & reporting requirements in line with the busines requirements.

Requirement & Qualifications

  • 2-3 years proven experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or other position that may be relevant, eg Customer Service.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization and owner representative.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (Both written and spoken)
  • Good business etiquette and previous proven experience in undertaking meetings and presentations to small groups.
  • Previous experience in managing multiple projects at one time, ensuring attention to detail/accuracy and ability to prioritise at all times.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, including project management.
  • About to travel freely and extensively in China for business meetings (when it's safe).
  • Must have a friendly and approachable personality, can do attitude.
  • Be able to work as part of a team as well as independently, flexible and ready and willing to help team members.
