20 years after opening its first boutique on London’s iconic Regent Street, L’Occitane returns to launch its first UK flagship store. The highly anticipated 6,450 sq ft space is now open at 74 Regent Street, and it’s L’Occitane’s largest store in the world.
World Retail Award’s Best Design Award Winner: L’Occitane Flagship Store on Regent Street
Customers are invited to go on a multi-sensory journey through the store to experience the beautiful textures, fragrances and sounds of Provence.
The store is like no other offering bespoke engraving, a luxury wrapping service, and the L’Occitane Lounge where customers can relax and enjoy Pierre Hermé macarons whilst observing the hustle and bustle of the street below.
Imagesound were approached by L’Occitane to curate music for this new flagship store and we knew the sound had to be something special to enhance this already unique customer experience.
Sound is the sensory component that fills the void, creates emotional connections and brings physical spaces to life. The L’Occitane signature sound was created from our extensive music branding experience, gained from our passion and a lifetime of listening to music, coupled with our handpicked approach to music programming.
Music is in our DNA, our objective from the outset is to bring great music to the centre of the L’Occitane store experience. The experience upon crossing the threshold of the new Regent Street store should be a reflection of the brand and experience L’Occitane and Future Brand UXUS had created.
We wanted L’Occitane customers to have their heads turned and be surprised, but also to feel at home and comfortable, and we always make sure that the music resonates with the customer and portrays the brand values and store atmosphere.
It was a pleasure to work closely with the L’Occitane team, understanding their vision and creating the audio backdrop to one of the most exciting shops in London’s West End.
